Welcome to Speech-Language Services at Foothills Elementary

Hello!  I am Caroline Abourezk, your Speech-Language Pathologist, and I'm so pleased to be a member of the Foothills family!  This is my fifth year at Foothills and my 24th year providing speech-language services to children in schools! Before joining Foothills in 2013, I spent 18 years living and working in Japan and one year working in Denver schools.  It is my purpose to help children develop the communication and processing skills they need for a happy, functional life. This is my life's work and passion and I consider it both a journey and joy.  I hope you will enjoy this fun adventure with me!  I love to talk about kids, speech, language, Japan, books, and cooking so please call or pop by for a chat!

Parents, you will receive written progress notes four times per year.  If you'd like more frequent updates on your child's work in speech-language class, please contact me by calling, emailing, or stopping by.  In order to satisfy parents' differing levels of desire for updates, I ask you to initiate contact whenever you have questions about your child's programming. I will be sure to respond within two school days.
